Used Drilling Rigs for Sale in the USA

Listings whose records give a U.S. location, with a Texas breakdown

As of 6 November 2026, 42 of the 120 listings on Oil Rigs Now have a listing record that gives a U.S. location: 13 in Texas and 29 marked USA with no state named. Together they cover 39 land rigs, 2 workovers, 1 cable tool. Stated horsepower runs 750 to 3,000 HP, and 1 record gives no horsepower. Specs below are as stated by each seller.

How this page counts rigs

A rig appears here only when its own listing record names a U.S. location. 66 listing records give no location at all, so they are not counted, even though some may well be in the country. Nothing on this page is stock held by Oil Rigs Now: each unit is offered by its owner or seller under a listing arrangement.

Horsepower, rig type and condition are quoted from the listing. Treat them as the seller's description, and confirm them with the seller and your own inspector before you build a bid around a rig.

Texas

Texas holds the largest group of U.S.-located listings. The used drilling rigs for sale in Texas page lists those 13 units on their own. For the Permian Basin specifically, see used land rigs for sale in Midland-Odessa.

USA, state not named in the listing

These 29 listing records say USA without a state. Ask the seller for the yard location early, because the distance to your pad changes the delivered cost.

Buying from outside the USA

Several of these rigs draw interest from buyers abroad. Export paperwork, freight and import rules are the buyer's to plan with their own advisers. Moving a used drilling rig across borders walks through the stages and who handles each one.

Oil Rigs Now does not provide financing, shipping or logistics; requests for those are passed to Total Drilling Supply.
